Personality Tests

The first test I took was the Jung Typology Test and the results seemed fairly accurate. More accutate were the professions it suggested for me. I feel they catered very well to my interests and aspirations in life.

The next test I took was the Attractiveness test which was pretty awful. I found none of the people, male or female, attractive. Maybe that's just me.

Next, I took the Global Advanced Personality Test. Some examples of myself it gave me were:
open, tough, irritable, worrying, does not like to be alone, craves attention, low self control, emotionally sensitive, interacting, sad, very social, aggressive, prefer organized to unpredictable, dependent, social chameleon, suspicious, values the heart over the mind, likes large parties, outgoing, likes to make fun, likes to fit in, mildly phobic, vain, makes friends easily, enjoys leadership, clingy, rash

Personality Disorder

Sadie,

So I'm not really liking college that much. I thought it would be a great time away from my parents but it just turned out just to be a boring and stressful 4 years of school! Like in my Psychology class for example, I pretty much know all of the right answers but this prissy know-it-all always beats me to it. Why does she have to get the lime light? It should be me! This is just horrible, one of the worst experiences in my entire life. At least I made a new friend. His name is Dante. We've only known each other for like a month but he's pretty much my new best friend. I'm just like, sick of college. I want to move on with my life and make the good money! Well, tell me what you think about me and my situation! Talk to you later.

Case Study Post.

Case Study 11: A 38-year-old man has been increasingly anxious about his job in a large manufacturing company. He feels that he has been passed over for a promotion several times. The patient is preoccupied with many small events and conversations that have occurred at work during the year and worries how his superiors will interpret them. He finds it difficult to control his worrying. During the day at work he feels restless and edgy. At home he is irritable and has difficulty sleeping. He wife asks him about work but he doesn’t want to talk about it.

In my initial impression, it seemed fairly obvious that the patient is suffering from Obsessive Complusive Disorder due to his preoccupication with small details or events. He worries that his bosses are overlooking him and dwells on the subject to a point where he is on edge, irratable and restless. It also occurs to me that this man has Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Symptoms of which include being restless or edgy, fatigue, difficulty concentraiting, irritability, muscle tension, and sleep disturbance. He seems to match the criteria fairly well so I can conclude that he does in fact have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I feel that Generalized Anxiety Disorder is common with the stresses of work and life so I feel that treatment should include peaceful hobbies such as yoga or meditation and a reduction of caffene from his diet, perhaps switching from coffee to green tea.

Suppp yo. (Entry Post - Famous People with Psychological Disorders)

Kso, I gotta do this Psychology project thing and I'm apparently blogging about someone famous who has a psychological disorder. Pretty nifty.

So what I thought was interesting that Marylin Monroe had a collection of mental disorders including depression and BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). Depression and Borderline Personality are actually fairly similar mental illnesses. They both imcompass rapid mood swings, anxiety, and thoughts of suicide or hopelessness.
Monroe had an extremely sucessful carrer of movies and music. She was in such classics as "Some Like It Hot" and "The Seven Year Itch". By initial impressions, not many people would have thought that the extrovert that Monroe was battled something as serious as depression, but it was very true. Her carrer was affected in the later years of her life as these signs became more and more apparent.
Monroe's death is still rather mysterious but from the looks of it, it was an apparent suicide. Her years of alcoholism and chemical dependency took a harsh toll on her physical and mental health. She is still known for her great talent and amazing impact on American pop culture in the 50s.
